BEING THE CONSTANT OBSERVER

Being the Constant Observer requires being consistent everyday, every hour, every minute. The process of Recognizing, Relating, Applying,, Assimilating, are critical tools that are to be exercised everyday. In MKE it’s simply referred to as R2, A2. It sounds like a mathematical equation, but when applied faithfully by letting this thought process crystalize in our minds, it yields great rewards in all aspects of a persons life. In Think and Grow Rich (Napoleon Hill) I like to refer to Edwin C Barnes who never gave up on his dreams. He succeeded because he chose a definite goal. placed all his energy, all his will power, all his effort, everything back of that goal. Despite the fact that he had no money, he had a consuming obsession of his life, a burning desire, to achieve his goal. I recognize and relate my own experience as that of Mr. Barnes. Everyday they’re others embarking on their dreams and experiencing their own Edwin C Barnes experience guiding them to their definite major purpose in life.

The month of May so far has been an interesting one for me. For every accomplishment comes a new set of challenges. More success requires more effort, more attention to detail, more concentration. The challenge comes because I’m accomplishing this while still being in my current environment. My business is moving to another level, As a musician, opportunities are abound. I’m overjoyed, grateful, and humbled. My relationship at home and what I do has truly been a great harmonious experience. Doesn’t mean that everyday doesn’t have it’s bumps in the road, but because I’m learning how to me a master of my emotions, to me every day becomes a day of more discovery and thinking in a certain way. But it’s coming at a cost: not enough sleep, falling behind in some of the everyday exercises. Everything seems to be overlapping into the next thing. People are always quick to give praise and adulation to those who have achieved a certain degree of success and think that luck must have played a big part in their success. They never see the mental, and emotional challenges that have to be overcome through consistent practice, industriousness, and work that manifests those hopes and dreams into reality. Sometimes just the mental aspect of being responsible for every action I perform, making adjustments, and moving forward can make the mind weary. Since I’m a musician and being creative not only in music but being creative in any endeavor, I’ve recognized why it’s so important to drink water and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables because the brain uses a considerable amount of energy. This is what revitalizes the brain, and helps maintain a healthy nutritional lifestyle. What a great fact to know and appreciate.

As Earl Nightingale once said, the greatest things we can get are the things we don’t PAY FOR. It is out of the necessity to achieve the true outcome we wish to have in our lives do we develop character, wisdom, and enjoy the better things that life has to give. Everyday I’m always looking for a way to be of service to anyone. From helping people get off the bus with their shopping carts, to opening doors for others, to just giving that infectious smile and happy gleam in my eyes that others see and respond to in a thankful way through a smile of their own is a reward that I cannot describe. In the book The Greatest Salesman (Og Mandino) scroll 8, it says, “Today I surpass every action which I performed yesterday. I climb today’s mountain to the utmost of my ability yet tomorrow I climb higher than today ,and the next, higher than tomorrow, To surpass the deeds of others is unimportant; to surpass my own deeds is all” ( I eliminated the word will). By being the observer of myself, and just being my true authentic self, doors are inexplicably being opened. Every door that opens provides a moment of excitement and gratitude as I always make it a point to stay in perpetual motion in the way I think and do. Scroll 8 has made me a constant observer of what I do everyday. I hold myself responsible for every thing I do. I forget not the things that I have done and will achieve that have brought me to this point.
