BEING THE CONSTANT OBSERVER

Being the Constant Observer requires being consistent everyday, every hour, every minute. The process of Recognizing, Relating, Applying,, Assimilating, are critical tools that are to be exercised everyday. In MKE it’s simply referred to as R2, A2. It sounds like a mathematical equation, but when applied faithfully by letting this thought process crystalize in our minds, it yields great rewards in all aspects of a persons life. In Think and Grow Rich (Napoleon Hill) I like to refer to Edwin C Barnes who never gave up on his dreams. He succeeded because he chose a definite goal. placed all his energy, all his will power, all his effort, everything back of that goal. Despite the fact that he had no money, he had a consuming obsession of his life, a burning desire, to achieve his goal. I recognize and relate my own experience as that of Mr. Barnes. Everyday they’re others embarking on their dreams and experiencing their own Edwin C Barnes experience guiding them to their definite major purpose in life.

The month of May so far has been an interesting one for me. For every accomplishment comes a new set of challenges. More success requires more effort, more attention to detail, more concentration. The challenge comes because I’m accomplishing this while still being in my current environment. My business is moving to another level, As a musician, opportunities are abound. I’m overjoyed, grateful, and humbled. My relationship at home and what I do has truly been a great harmonious experience. Doesn’t mean that everyday doesn’t have it’s bumps in the road, but because I’m learning how to me a master of my emotions, to me every day becomes a day of more discovery and thinking in a certain way. But it’s coming at a cost: not enough sleep, falling behind in some of the everyday exercises. Everything seems to be overlapping into the next thing. People are always quick to give praise and adulation to those who have achieved a certain degree of success and think that luck must have played a big part in their success. They never see the mental, and emotional challenges that have to be overcome through consistent practice, industriousness, and work that manifests those hopes and dreams into reality. Sometimes just the mental aspect of being responsible for every action I perform, making adjustments, and moving forward can make the mind weary. Since I’m a musician and being creative not only in music but being creative in any endeavor, I’ve recognized why it’s so important to drink water and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables because the brain uses a considerable amount of energy. This is what revitalizes the brain, and helps maintain a healthy nutritional lifestyle. What a great fact to know and appreciate.

As Earl Nightingale once said, the greatest things we can get are the things we don’t PAY FOR. It is out of the necessity to achieve the true outcome we wish to have in our lives do we develop character, wisdom, and enjoy the better things that life has to give. Everyday I’m always looking for a way to be of service to anyone. From helping people get off the bus with their shopping carts, to opening doors for others, to just giving that infectious smile and happy gleam in my eyes that others see and respond to in a thankful way through a smile of their own is a reward that I cannot describe. In the book The Greatest Salesman (Og Mandino) scroll 8, it says, “Today I surpass every action which I performed yesterday. I climb today’s mountain to the utmost of my ability yet tomorrow I climb higher than today ,and the next, higher than tomorrow, To surpass the deeds of others is unimportant; to surpass my own deeds is all” ( I eliminated the word will). By being the observer of myself, and just being my true authentic self, doors are inexplicably being opened. Every door that opens provides a moment of excitement and gratitude as I always make it a point to stay in perpetual motion in the way I think and do. Scroll 8 has made me a constant observer of what I do everyday. I hold myself responsible for every thing I do. I forget not the things that I have done and will achieve that have brought me to this point.

THE IMPORTANCE OF FUNDAMENTALS

I believe that a persistent practice of fundamentals provides a state of stability that provides success for anyone who wants to continually experience growth in any endeavor they embark on. Fundamentals provide that critical foundation of self-assuredness and knowledge that makes and keeps us strong, confident, vibrant, and always keeps us on the path of correct thinking, new ideas, strong character. Without it, there’s no stability in anything that we do. If we have a weak foundation we can only go as far as that foundation can carry us, often falling short of what we would like to be, have or do, without a clue as to what we should do next.

I like this definition of Fundamentals: a basic principle, rule, law, or the like that serves as the groundwork of a system; an essential part. All through school from the 1st grade to the 12th grade we start start out with the basic fundamentals of reading writing, arithmetic. As we reach another grade level, we learn more, etc. In other words we don’t advance unless we have acquired a thorough understanding of the knowledge taught to us in the grade we’re currently in. Our minds experience tremendous growth. We’re constantly reminded of how important it is to get an education from our parents and society. If we really do the work, we’re rewarded with special skillsets that are valuable tools when we go out to make a life for ourselves in he corporate world. We need these fundamentals in order to survive in the society we live in.

But there’s another set of fundamentals that are just as important as the ones we acquired in school. These fundamentals are of a different nature. These fundamentals exits in the realm of the invisible where true power is obtained and reigns supreme to anyone who dares to venture out of the ordinary and the mediocre and sees how things really are as opposed to what they appear to look like. One fundamental truth is that if we have a Positive Mental Attitude- Definite Major Purpose-Written Plan of Action-Mastermind Alliance of 2 or more People will equal Success. Another truth is that mind is Omnipresent, Omniscient, Omnipotent. Creative thought is what creates the dynamo that churns the energy thus creating all circumstances whether good or bad (Law of Attraction). When a person becomes a self-reliant thinker using the powers of inductive thinking, intuition, visualization, idealization, he or she does not let their sense of sight betray them when they see the same things in a different manner from others. The true Fundamentalist who thinks in this manner will always take responsibility for their actions making no excuses, but always being the captain of their ship. They see opportunity where others see none. Their not afraid to be different. Any slippage or leakage in their ship can quickly be identified and repaired because they have a strong working knowledge of the fundamentals that the have made their own. They recognize that happiness and laughter are the maidens that serve them. They know that they are Whole, Perfect, Powerful, Strong, Loving, Harmonious and Happy. Last and the most important Fundamental of them all: without Love all the skills and knowledge are utterly worthless to the possessor. Fundamentals are the launchpad for the unlimited and perpetual success in health wealth and love.
